Since 1995, Equi-Librium Therapy Center (ETC) has been serving children and adults with disabilities with several types of equine therapy. The benefits of equine-assisted activities and therapies are vast and ETC offers a number of accredited equine-assisted therapy services including Therapeutic Riding, Hippotherapy, and Equine Facilitated therapies. As one of the largest equine assisted therapy services and one of the only PATH Premier Accredited Centers in the state of Missouri, ETC is Eagala Certified and a member of the American Hippotherapy Association.
ETC also has a veterans’ program and works closely with the Wounded Warrior Project to assist those who come back from combat with post traumatic stress disorder. Through Warriors Walk On, ETC and Wounded Warrior Project assist returning servicemen and women dealing with injuries, both physical and mental, and help them reintegrate with their home surroundings and ease back into their daily lives.
Located on 40 rolling acres just east of Springfield, ETC’s indoor riding facility allows for use year round. The center also has an individual therapy room, a classroom, a viewing room for family and friends of riders, and other accommodations to make the center truly one of a kind. Right now, most of ETC’s programs have a waiting list, and as a result the organization is trying to expand their facility, and in turn, their services.
Because of the important work that ETC is doing, Nixall® is proud to support them and help them raise funds. Partnering with ETC is a perfect fit as Nixall® is known nationwide for the VetResponse® line of products, which provides horse and pet owners the most effective and affordable wound management product in the world. The Family Wellness line of products can also come in handy at ETC for everything from First Aid to Cleanser. Nixall® has an extreme passion for organizations doing good, and for the equine world, and is honored to be teaming up with ETC to help them raise money for their expansion efforts.
Nixall® has donated product for use in the facility.
